Things to know
- Recorded programs in your library expire 21 days after your YouTube TV membership ends.
- Add-on networks (such as premium channels) can also be removed individually from the same Membership settings page without canceling the full membership.
- Restarting YouTube TV after a cancellation may disqualify you from promotional pricing.
- Pausing your membership (4 weeks to 6 months) suspends access and billing but preserves your library until the pause ends.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I pause YouTube TV instead of canceling?
- Yes. YouTube TV lets you pause your membership for 4 weeks to 6 months. During the pause, your access is suspended and your previous recordings are preserved. The pause takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and charges resume automatically at the scheduled end date.
- What happens to my DVR recordings when I cancel YouTube TV?
- Recorded programs expire 21 days after your membership ends. Watch or note important recordings before your membership lapses.
- Will I lose my YouTube TV add-on channels when I cancel?
- Yes. Canceling the base YouTube TV membership removes access to the service and all add-on networks. Add-ons can also be removed individually without canceling the full membership.
