Terms of Service
Last updated: April 20, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Subblink, the subscription tracking service available at subblink.co (the “Service”). The Service is operated by a sole proprietor based in Maastricht, the Netherlands (“Subblink,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Refund Policy.
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Service you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
- If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and “you” refers to both you personally and that organization.
If any of the above is not true, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
Subblink helps you discover, monitor, and manage recurring software and service subscriptions. With your explicit authorization, the Service connects to your Gmail or Microsoft Outlook inbox, scans for subscription receipts, and presents the results on a dashboard with alerts, analytics, and (on the Growth plan) team features.
Subblink is an informational tool. We do not cancel, modify, renegotiate, or pay any subscription on your behalf. Any action you take based on information in Subblink — cancelling a service, changing a plan, disputing a charge — is your own decision and responsibility. We do our best to detect subscriptions accurately but we do not guarantee that every recurring charge will be identified, or that extracted metadata will be error-free.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information
- Keep your password confidential and secure
- Promptly notify us at security@subblink.co if you suspect unauthorized access
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
We may refuse registration or suspend or terminate an account at our reasonable discretion, including for violations of these Terms, suspected fraud, or at the request of law enforcement.
4. Email Scanning and Data Access
4.1 OAuth Scopes
If you choose to connect your inbox, we request read-only OAuth scopes:
- Google:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly - Microsoft:
Mail.Read
These scopes permit reading email content. They do not permit sending, modifying, deleting, moving, or otherwise acting on your email. We cannot change your inbox in any way.
4.2 How Scanning Works
When you initiate a scan (or on a weekly automatic schedule for Solo and Growth plans), the Service fetches messages matching subscription-related filters, extracts structured metadata (vendor, amount, currency, date, frequency), and stores that metadata in our database. The raw email bodies are not stored.
4.3 AI-Assisted Extraction
To accurately parse unstructured receipt emails, qualifying message content is sent to the Anthropic Claude API for metadata extraction. This processing is transient: Anthropic does not retain the content after the request completes and does not use it to train models. Only emails that match subscription-related filters are processed in this way.
4.4 Your Acknowledgments
By connecting your inbox you acknowledge that:
- You have the authority to grant access to the inbox you connect.
- You understand the scope of access described above.
- You may revoke access at any time from Settings → Connected Accounts, from your Google Account security settings, or from your Microsoft Account security settings. Revocation deletes our stored OAuth tokens immediately.
Our handling of data obtained through Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
5. Plans and Billing
5.1 Plans
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Key Features |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | Up to 5 subscriptions, manual entry, basic dashboard, usage ratings |
| Solo | $9 | $90 | Up to 50 subscriptions, email scanning and cancel assistant, weekly auto-scan, email + SMS alerts, analytics and reports, CSV export, calendar feed, shareable report links, Notion integration |
| Growth | $29 | $290 | Unlimited subscriptions, team accounts with role-based access, departments, subscription assignment, webhooks (5 endpoints, signed, with delivery logs), audit log |
All prices are in United States Dollars (USD) and exclude any applicable taxes or duties. Annual plans provide a discount of approximately 17% compared to twelve monthly payments (roughly two months free).
5.2 Payment
Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe. You authorize Stripe to charge your payment method for the plan you select, on the cadence you select (monthly or annual), until you cancel. Subblink does not see or store your full card number.
5.3 Failed Payments
If a payment fails, Stripe will automatically attempt to retry your payment method using its Smart Retry policy over a grace period of approximately two weeks. During this period your account remains on the paid plan. If all retries are unsuccessful, the subscription is cancelled and your account transitions to the Free plan; paid features become unavailable until a successful payment is made.
5.4 Taxes
You are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or regulatory fees associated with your use of the Service, unless Subblink is required by law to collect them on your behalf.
6. Auto-Renewal Disclosure
This section is provided to comply with the California Automatic Renewal Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §17600 et seq.), the U.S. Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act (ROSCA), and similar consumer protection laws in other jurisdictions. Please read it carefully.
6.1 Auto-Renewal Terms
Paid plans automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the plan’s then-current rate, charged to the payment method on file, until you cancel. The renewal frequency depends on your selected plan:
- Monthly plans renew every month at the monthly rate ($9 for Solo, $29 for Growth).
- Annual plans renew every twelve months at the annual rate ($90 for Solo, $290 for Growth).
Recurring charges will appear on your payment method statement as “Subblink” or a similar descriptor. You will receive an email receipt from Stripe for each charge.
6.2 How to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing in your Subblink dashboard. Cancellation is as straightforward as signup — the same number of steps or fewer — and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to your paid plan features until that date. At the end of the period, your account transitions to the Free plan; you will not be charged again.
No phone call, email, or cancellation form is required. If for any reason the in-product cancellation does not work, email us at support@subblink.co and we will cancel the subscription on your behalf and confirm by reply.
6.3 Renewal Reminders
For annual plans, we send a reminder email before each renewal, clearly stating the renewal date and amount, so that you have time to cancel if you no longer wish to continue.
6.4 Price Changes
If we change the price of a plan you are subscribed to, we will notify you by email at least 14 days in advance. Price changes take effect on your next renewal. If you do not agree with the new price, you can cancel before the renewal date and no new charge will be applied.
6.5 Affirmative Consent
When you sign up for a paid plan, you acknowledge and agree — before your payment method is charged — to the recurring charge amount, the renewal frequency, and the cancellation method described in this section. These terms appear in a clear and conspicuous manner immediately adjacent to the checkout button.
7. Refunds
Paid plans are covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first paid period, and annual plans may receive a prorated refund after that window. Full details, examples, and request instructions are in our Refund Policy.
8. Team Features (Growth Plan)
The Growth plan includes team accounts with role-based access. Available roles are:
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access, including billing, members, departments, webhooks, and audit log |
| Editor | Can add, edit, and delete subscriptions; cannot access billing or member management |
| Viewer | Read-only access to dashboards and reports |
You are responsible for:
- Inviting only people authorized to access your team’s data
- Removing members who leave your organization
- Ensuring that members do not share credentials (each member must have their own account)
- Your team members’ compliance with these Terms
Credential sharing is not permitted. Each person using the Service must have their own account.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of any law or regulation
- Connect an inbox that you do not have the legal right to access
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users’ accounts, or our infrastructure
- Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service (including through denial-of-service attacks)
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent permitted by applicable law
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise harvest data from the Service through automated means, except with prior written permission
- Use the Service to send spam, malware, or malicious content
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service
- Remove or obscure any proprietary notices on the Service
Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account, with or without notice.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 Our Rights
Subblink and all associated content — software, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks — are owned by Subblink or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted.
10.2 Your Data
You own your data. You retain all rights to the subscription information, notes, and settings you create in or import into Subblink. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data as necessary to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
10.3 Feedback
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them without restriction and without compensation to you. You confirm that any such feedback is your own and does not infringe on the rights of others.
11. Data Handling
Our full practices are described in the Privacy Policy. In summary:
- We encrypt OAuth tokens at rest using AES-256-GCM
- We use TLS 1.2+ in transit with HSTS enforced
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers
- We read email content transiently during scans and do not store email bodies
- You can export your subscription data to CSV at any time, on any plan, including by emailing privacy@subblink.co if export is plan-gated
- You can delete your account at any time; production data is purged immediately and encrypted backups are overwritten within 90 days
12. Warranty Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Subblink disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will detect every subscription charge in your inbox
- Extracted metadata (vendor, amount, date, frequency) will be free from error
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from bugs
- Any content or data you receive through the Service will be accurate or reliable
You are responsible for verifying any information before acting on it. Subblink is an informational tool, not a financial advisor, accountant, or subscription management agent.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law — including the mandatory rights of consumers under EU law — that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- Subblink will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility.
- Our total aggregate liability to you, from all claims arising out of or relating to the Service, is capped at the greater of (a) fifty U.S. dollars ($50) or (b) the total amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the liability.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law — for example, in the European Union, liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or gross negligence. If any of these limitations is unenforceable in your jurisdiction, it applies to the maximum extent permitted there.
14. Termination
14.1 By You
You may stop using the Service at any time. You can cancel a paid subscription from Settings → Billing, and you can delete your account entirely from Settings → Account.
14.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if:
- You materially breach these Terms (for example, by violating the Acceptable Use rules)
- A security, fraud, or legal issue requires immediate action
- Your payment has failed repeatedly and the grace period has passed
- We are required to do so by law
14.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive — intellectual property, warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law — will survive termination.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
15.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection law, you retain the benefit of any non-waivable protections under the law of your country of residence.
15.2 Informal Resolution
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact us at support@subblink.co and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally. Most disputes can be resolved quickly by email; please give us the chance.
15.3 Courts
If informal resolution fails, any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of the Netherlands, or the courts of your country of residence if you are a consumer and applicable law gives you that right.
15.4 No Arbitration, No Class-Action Waiver
We do not require binding arbitration, and we do not ask you to waive your right to participate in a class action. Any dispute proceeds through ordinary courts, as provided above.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account before they take effect.
17. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Subblink regarding the Service.
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not waive that right or provision.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for failures or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
