How to cancel Surfshark

Surfshark subscriptions renew automatically by default. To stop the next charge, cancel auto-renewal through your Surfshark account on the Surfshark website. Your current subscription stays active through the end of the billing period with no immediate cutoff.

You can also contact Surfshark's live chat support to handle cancellation. If you purchased your Surfshark subscription through the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or Amazon Appstore, cancel through that store instead.

Steps

  1. Sign in to your Surfshark account

    Go to surfshark.com and sign in to your Surfshark account.

  2. Click your email address in the top-right corner

    In the account dashboard, click your email address in the top-right corner and select 'Subscription' from the dropdown.

  3. Open the Payments section

    Navigate to the 'Payments' section within your subscription settings.

  4. Click Cancel auto-renewal

    Click 'Cancel auto-renewal' and confirm the action when prompted. Automatic payments stop and your service remains active through the current billing period.

Things to know

  • If you subscribed through the Google Play Store, cancel through Google Play's subscription management — your Surfshark account page will not show a cancel option for store-billed subscriptions.
  • If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, cancel via Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your Apple device.
  • If you subscribed through the Amazon Appstore, cancel through your Amazon account.
  • You can also contact Surfshark's live chat support to cancel auto-renewal if you prefer.

Does canceling Surfshark auto-renewal end my VPN access immediately?
