How to cancel Squarespace

You cancel a Squarespace website subscription through the Billing panel for that site. Canceling an annual plan takes your site offline right away; canceling a monthly plan stops service at the end of your current billing cycle.

Canceling your website doesn't automatically cancel other Squarespace subscriptions tied to the same account, like Domains, Google Workspace, Acuity Scheduling, or Email Campaigns — those stay active and billed separately until you cancel each one on its own.

Steps

  1. Open the Billing panel

    Go to the Billing panel for the site you want to cancel.

  2. Select the subscription

    Under Subscriptions, click the subscription or plan.

  3. Click Cancel subscription

    Review the cancellation details, then choose 'Retain Access' (cancel at the end of your billing cycle) or 'Get Refund Immediately' (end service now, refunded if you're within the refund window), and click Continue.

  4. Share a reason and confirm

    Select a reason for canceling, click Next, optionally complete the feedback form, review any other active subscriptions if prompted, then click 'Cancel subscription' again to confirm.
