How to cancel Skillshare
Last reviewed About 2–5 minutes
Signing up directly on skillshare.com means your Account settings are where you cancel. Signing up inside Apple's or Google's app stores instead means billing sits with them, so that's where cancellation has to happen too — Skillshare has no way to reach into either store's billing on your behalf.
Whichever path applies to you, your classes, downloadable materials, and discussion access stay open through the rest of your current billing period.
Steps
Go to Account settings
On skillshare.com, open Account settings.
Open Membership & Payments
Select this from the left menu.
Cancel your membership
Click 'Cancel membership' and follow the prompts to confirm.
Things to know
- The mobile-browser path is nearly the same as desktop: load skillshare.com, sign in, tap into Account settings from your profile icon, then find Membership & Payments to reach the cancel option.
- An App Store or Google Play purchase puts billing control with Apple or Google, not Skillshare — go through that store's own subscription settings to stop it.
- A free trial started on skillshare.com must be canceled through Account settings before the trial ends, or it converts into a paid subscription.
- Skillshare for Teams accounts follow your organization's agreement — contact your admin or teamhelp@skillshare.com to cancel.
Frequently asked questions
- Can Skillshare cancel my subscription for me if I subscribed through Apple or Google?
- No. Skillshare can't manage or cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions — you have to cancel directly with Apple or Google.
- What happens if I don't cancel my Skillshare free trial in time?
- It converts into a paid subscription, so cancel through Account settings before the trial ends if you don't want to be charged.
- Do I lose access to Skillshare classes right when I cancel?
- No. You keep access, including downloadable materials and class discussions, through the end of your current billing period.
