How to cancel Shudder
Last reviewed About 2–5 minutes
Shudder can be billed through several different platforms, and where you cancel depends on where you originally signed up. If you subscribed directly on the Shudder website, cancel through your account settings there. If you subscribed through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, or Samsung, cancel on that platform instead.
Deleting the Shudder app from any device does not cancel your subscription by itself.

Things to know
- If you signed up on the website but pay through PayPal, you also need to log in to PayPal and cancel the recurring payment to Shudder, or PayPal will keep billing you.
- If you signed up through the Apple App Store, cancel via Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Shudder > Cancel Subscription (or on a computer: App Store > Account Settings > Subscriptions > Manage > Shudder > Edit > Cancel Subscription).
- If you signed up through Google Play, cancel via play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, or on your Android phone via Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > Shudder > Cancel Subscription.
- If you signed up on Roku, cancel via my.roku.com/subscriptions — find Shudder and select Unsubscribe.
- If you signed up on a Samsung TV, cancel via samsungcheckout.com's Subscriptions tab under Purchase History — find Shudder and select Unsubscribe.
- If you added Shudder through an Amazon Fire TV app subscription, cancel via amazon.com/appstoresubscriptions — find Shudder, select Actions, then Cancel your subscription.
- If you added Shudder as an Amazon Prime Video Channel, cancel via Amazon's 'Manage Your Prime Video Channels' page and confirm.
- Deleting the Shudder app from any device does not cancel your subscription — you have to cancel through the platform you originally signed up on.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I know where my Shudder subscription is billed?
- Look at how the charge is labeled on your bank or card statement — that label usually points to the specific platform behind it, be that Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, or Samsung.
- Will deleting the Shudder app cancel my subscription?
- No. You have to cancel through whichever platform you originally signed up on — deleting the app alone doesn't stop billing.
- What happens to my Shudder access after I cancel a Prime Video Channel subscription?
- You keep access to the Shudder channel through Prime Video until the date your next renewal would have been charged, then it stops.
