How to cancel Pandora
Last reviewed About 2–5 minutes
Check your bank statement before you start — it tells you who's actually billing you for Pandora, since the cancellation steps are different for each vendor. Pandora Support can only manage subscriptions billed directly through Pandora; it can't cancel, change, or refund a subscription billed through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, or a carrier.
However you're billed, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal or trial-end date if you want to avoid being charged again.
Steps
Sign in on the Pandora website
This path applies if Pandora bills you directly rather than through an app store or carrier.
Open the Subscriptions page
You can also reach it from the Settings menu.
Choose Switch Plans, then Cancel Subscription
The Cancel Subscription button sits in the bottom corner of that screen.
Confirm
Confirming stops any future subscription payments.
Things to know
- On mobile: go to the Pandora website, tap the three-line menu icon at the top left, tap Subscription (signing in first if asked), then on the Subscription details page choose Switch Plans and Cancel Subscription.
- If Apple bills you, cancel through Apple's own subscription management on your device, or contact Apple support — Pandora can't manage or refund an Apple-billed subscription.
- If Google Play bills you, cancel through Google Play from an Android device or a computer, or contact Google Play support.
- If Amazon bills you (for example after upgrading from a Kindle Fire or an Android device using the Amazon Appstore), manage it from the Amazon Appstore website, the Amazon Appstore app, or your Fire tablet.
- If Roku bills you, cancel from your Roku device, a mobile device, or a PC, or contact Roku support.
- If T-Mobile bills you, manage the add-on by logging into your T-Mobile account or app with your T-Mobile ID.
- If another carrier added through Google Play's payment options bills you, cancel it the same way as a Google Play subscription — through Google Play on an Android device or computer.
- Uninstalling the Pandora app doesn't cancel your subscription on its own — you still have to go through whichever vendor bills you.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I know who's billing me for Pandora?
- Check your bank or card statement — it identifies whether Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, a carrier, or Pandora itself is charging you, and that determines which cancellation steps apply.
- Does uninstalling the Pandora app cancel my subscription?
- No. You still need to cancel with whichever vendor actually bills you, whether that's Pandora directly or an app store or carrier.
- How far ahead of renewal should I cancel Pandora to avoid being charged again?
- At least 24 hours before your renewal date, or before your free trial ends.
