How to cancel Figma

Canceling a Figma Professional plan reverts your team to the free Starter plan at the close of the current billing period. Your account and files are not deleted, but Starter-plan limits apply immediately after the transition — including restrictions on the number of files per project and the number of projects per team. Any live sites or apps published from your team will also automatically unpublish at that point.

Organization and Enterprise plan holders cannot self-cancel through the dashboard. Contact Figma support to arrange a downgrade from those tiers.

Steps

  1. Open your team in the file browser

    In the Figma file browser sidebar, click the name of your Professional team.

  2. Go to Admin

    Click 'Admin' in the left sidebar to open team administration settings.

  3. Open the Settings tab

    Navigate to the 'Settings' tab within the Admin section.

  4. Click Cancel plan

    Under the Plan section, click 'Cancel plan'.

  5. Choose your reason and confirm

    Select your cancellation reason and confirm. Your team transitions to the Starter plan at the end of your current billing period.

  • Starter plan limits: 3 Figma Design files per project, 3 FigJam files, 3 Figma Slides files, and one project per team. Files above these limits lose editing access.
  • Any live sites or apps published from your team automatically unpublish when you transition to the Starter plan.
  • Figma subscriptions are non-refundable. Contact Figma support if you have a specific billing concern.
  • Organization and Enterprise plan holders must contact Figma support to downgrade — the in-dashboard cancellation flow is not available for those tiers.
