How to cancel AMC+
Last reviewed About 2–5 minutes
AMC+ can be billed by several different platforms, and where you cancel depends entirely on where you originally signed up. If you subscribed directly on the AMC+ website, you cancel there. If you subscribed through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, Samsung, or Verizon, you have to cancel on that platform instead — AMC+'s own account settings won't stop billing from a third party.
Deleting the AMC+ app from any device does not cancel your subscription on its own.
Steps
Sign in on a computer
Use a computer web browser rather than the app. Go directly to amcplus.com/account/subscription, or reach the same account page by clicking the gear-shaped icon in the site's navigation.
Open the Subscription tab
The Subscription tab shows your current plan, renewal date, and status.
Click Cancel
This applies only if you're billed directly by AMC+, not through Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, Samsung, or Verizon.
Things to know
- If you signed up through Apple, cancel via Settings > your name > Subscriptions > AMC+ > Cancel Subscription on iPhone or iPad, or via App Store > Account Settings > Subscriptions on a Mac.
- If you signed up through Google Play, cancel via the Play Store app: Subscriptions > AMC+ > Cancel subscription.
- If you added AMC+ as an Amazon Prime Video Channel, cancel via Manage Your Prime Video Channels and confirm.
- If you use the AMC+ app on Fire TV, Firestick, or Kindle, cancel via Your Account > Your Apps > Your Subscriptions.
- If you're billed through Roku, cancel via my.roku.com's My Subscriptions page, or directly on the device: press Home, highlight the AMC+ app, press the Star button, select Manage subscription, then Turn off auto-renew.
- If you're billed through Verizon +Play, cancel via My Verizon > Account+play > Manage > Cancel subscription > Remove.
- If you're billed through Samsung, cancel via samsungcheckout.com's Subscriptions tab, or through your TV's Samsung Account settings.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I know which platform bills my AMC+ subscription?
- Think back to where you originally signed up — directly on amcplus.com, or through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, Samsung, or Verizon. AMC+ bills through whichever platform you used, so cancellation has to happen there too.
- Does deleting the AMC+ app cancel my subscription?
- No. You need to cancel through the platform that bills you, whether that's AMC+ directly or one of its partners, or billing continues even after the app is gone.
- I don't see AMC+ listed in my subscriptions on Roku, Google, or Apple — what now?
- You may be signed in with a different account than the one you used to subscribe. Try signing in with another Roku, Google, or Apple account you might have used.
